ONE GOAL
To help lead people into a deeper encounter with the Eucharistic Heart of JESUS CHRIST! We are NOT putting on a concert. We are called to lead people into prayer by cooperating with the Holy Spirit! This is very different than playing in a secular band (bar band) or concert. The real instrument is our heart and soul. Therefore, it's important for every musician to be prayerfully seeking the Lord daily. Regardless of a musician talent, if we're not humble and moved by the Holy Spirit, we will draw hearts to ourselves and not to God. Therefore, we must be a people of prayer, a people that learn to listen to the Holy Spirit's lead. Our Goal is to lead God's People into Holy Communion!
Music is a tremendously powerful gift from God. The music ministers are servants of the sacred mysterious helping God's people to receive God. Music helps people to open their hearts. Our service to God during Ablaze Nights is to use our gifts to create a environment of prayerfulness, healing, and worship.
*Those who sense a call into the Music Ministry must be proficient in playing their instrument or in singing. Musicians must attentively watch and follow the worship leader. This ministry also requires some level of respectful commitment to being prepared. It is also important to note that musicians will most probably not be playing at every Ablaze Night. This has nothing to do with some musicians being better than others. This is about sharing God's gifts with others and building up the ministry. As the number of musicians that are formed and schooled in the art of leading worship grows, there can be more Ablaze Nights scheduled. Also, practically speaking, having more musicians allows other musicians to simply participate in receiving God's love.
